Testimonial From a Parent

December 22, 2019

A very good morning to the honourable guests, devoted Ms. Sharyne, Senior Elder Joseph, dedicated supervisors and awesome parents. My name is Sheela, I’m Mohnish Kumaar’s mum. Mohnish joined KLCRC’s Reading Program when he was 7 years old and is currently in Level 4.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Ms. Sharyne and her supervisors who have been part of Mohnish’s growth from where he was to where he is now.

Just to rewind back memory lane, Mohnish was born as a healthy baby, but when he turned 11 months old, he came down with very high fever which led to epileptic attacks (fits). His fits were rotational which further destroyed his brain cells. In a day, he has come down with seizures from 12 up to 15 times. Doctors who were handling his case were clueless as to what was causing his seizures as it started to come back even when Mohnish was not having fever. He was neither able to utter a single word nor hold a pencil to write till 6 years old.

Multiple kindergartens were unable to handle him. This is when I got to know about KLCRC and made an appointment with Ms. Sharyne. KLCRC is an excellent one stop education centre which has nurtured and developed Mohnish Kumaar. For someone who was clinically examined with a mental capability of 2 years old when he was 6 years of age, he has definitely come a long way.

I’m really fortunate to have sent him to KLCRC as Ms. Sharyne has always made her time available regardless of her busy schedule, for me to discuss about Mohnish’s progress. In return, with Ms. Sharyne’s guidance, her supervisors have coached, mentored and helped shape Mohnish to enable him to have a growth mindset.

Again, I would like to take this time to thank Ms. Sharyne and her supervisors from the bottom of my heart for their continuous dedication and commitment.
